Cairn, for violin and violoncello

Originally a piece for SATB choir on the Eggja runestone, this work was completely recomposed for violin and violoncello. It is in roughly three sections.

Blue Portrait, for tenor horn and vibraphone

Originally a piece that was improvised at the piano and later transcribed, this pastel was composed as a piece to accompany Georgia O’Keeffe’s painting “Blue, Black, and Grey.”

This piece was arranged for tenor horn and vibraphone, and it a short, melancholic work that ebbs and flows in a mystical blue stream of music.
